Sometimes people over-think family photos. They stress out about what they’re wearing, stress out about getting dirty, stress out about the kid’s attitudes, stress out about getting the “perfect” photo, stress out until it’s simply not fun anymore.
And then, some families are so laid back and they let me ask them to do crazy things and have no problem with rolling with it – like “omigosh I LOVE that purple door! Let me have you sit down right there – in that dirty doorway in this back alley” HAHA
That is Mitchell & Larissa. They look like they should be in a GAP commercial, don’t they? Larissa really nailed their outfits! I imagine a certain amount of thought went into what they were going to wear [I doubt they all pulled coordinating outfits out of their closets on coincidence] but just about everything else was totally carefree! Sidney likes the pin-wheels? Let’s pull one out of the ground & hand it to him! Oh, now he’s chomping down on the dirty end? Yeahh, probably shouldn’t do that. Didn’t really plan for a pin-wheel to be in family photos – but eh, why not? It kind of matches! They are just so easy going & stress-free – which makes for easy photos!
And they trust me. The definition of a photographer’s dream. I love them.
We started off with Mr. Sidney’s big number 2 birthday party! That is so hard to believe! And his party kicked off with an Easter egg hunt – perfect!
And you know: every little kid birthday party comes with the “big” present at the end. This was Sidney’s reaction to “the big one” – so priceless!
