Leaving Pennsylvania, when it’s COLD and SNOWING and going to Arizona, where it’s warm enough to wear shorts and t-shirts is the ULTIMATE flex.
Thankfully, Papa and Nana didn’t move somewhere cold or boring, but they moved to BEAUTIFUL, warm Phoenix, Arizona!
We visited them in 2023 – that was our kids’ first time flying and we had such a wonderful time, that we did it AGAIN in 2024!
This time, we went a smidge later in the year (we flew in the day after Thanksgiving), which meant we got to celebrate Thanksgiving with Derrick’s parents, Aunt and Uncle, and Grandma.
That means we also celebrated Leander’s 6th birthday while we were in Arizona (talk about the ultimate birthday!)
This video is simply a bunch of highlights and precious memories of our week away. But the most exciting part was when Braelynn asked to be baptized and Papa and Nana said: “We can absolutely do that!”
We visited the Grand Canyon and Sedona during this particular trip – but those videos got a film all to themselves! Check it out HERE.
We also spent a day at the Legoland Discovery Center and Sea Life in Phoenix, AZ. Check out that day HERE.
We decided to leave Nana and Papa with a little farewell gift – so we hid 100 mini flamingos all over the house and backyard! TO THIS DATE, they still have 2 flamingos that they have NEVER found! This was SO MUCH FUN!
And because – what’s a blog post without photos – here are just a few (these are a mix of iPhone snaps & photos taken with my “big” camera).
