Annual Ladies Night // Downtown Irwin, PA // 2016

The crazy month of October is over – Halloween has come & gone (thank goodness, I never have liked that holiday) and it’s November! That means it’s officially the holiday season!! It hasn’t felt like it the last few days (Indian Summer anyone), but we’ve been listening to Christmas music & easing into the Christmas spirit. I absolutely cannot wait for Christmas this year – Braelynn is going to love ALL of it! I get goosebumps just thinking about putting the presents under the tree & having her come down on Christmas morning!

Our little town of Irwin, PA always hosts the most amazing & well-attended events all throughout the year, but their holiday events are my favorite! They kick things off with Ladies Night – the busiest night of the year for Downtown Irwin. Ladies flock to Main Street by the hundreds (last year the number was over 1,000!) to discover new little businesses and get a jumpstart on Christmas shopping. It is so much fun to see Main Street in Irwin all lit up and packed full of life! It was a beautiful evening: warm enough to not need anything heavier than a sweater, clear, and dry! A bunch of the shops were running specials and discounts, they were handing out wine & cookies – I mean, you simply could not go wrong if you came to Ladies Night!

Coming up in 2 weeks is Light Up Night and then the Cookie Tour follows after that (Yes! Every shop has cookies on Cookie Tour Night – it’s the best! If you’ve never been, you should make a point to come! It’s best when it’s snowing a little bit, they usually have horse-drawn carriage rides, everything is all lit up for Christmas, and it’s such a fun way to spend an evening celebrating Christmas) We seriously live in the most adorable and active little community!
