Amy & Nathan | Lion Themed Baby Shower in Greensburg, PA

My sister is having a baby!
(Can we just stop & freak out right now? I never realized just how insanely exciting it would be for my siblings to have babies! It’s THE BEST!)

The weekend before last, we threw Amy the best & biggest baby shower we possibly could (mostly in an attempt to “make up” for the fact that the pandemic swooped in & ruined her bridal shower – we still made the best of it & had a really great time, but it wasn’t “normal” in any way, shape, or form).
So, this was our nice “normal” shower for Amy – complete with decorations, a guest book, food, games, (a literal mountain) of gifts, and PEOPLE!

We had so much fun & everything went perfectly.

Amy & Nathan are planning a “lion” theme for their little guy, so that was the theme of the shower! It was so much fun to sit & “Pinterest” different ideas, browse the aisles of Hobby Lobby, and plan everything out. (The hardest part was finding dark green balloons! Everywhere we looked had these lime green colors, but we wanted “jungle” green – Amazon to the rescue!)

So, a huge thank you to our cousins: Lydia, Bekah, Abby, and Emilie for helping set up the night before & spear-heading cleaning up after the shower was over (we cleaned up in RECORD time).
Big thanks to Lydia for making the cupcakes & lion cake – it was amazing.
Big thanks to my Mom for helping organize the food & making sure we had all the plates, silverware, and napkins we needed (plus a million other things).
Big thanks to Nathan’s Mom for praying for Amy & our food (we kind of forgot to ask her in the “advance” that we should have & she was totally game when we asked her the morning of the shower if she would be willing to offer a special prayer!)
Big thanks to my sister Emma for creating Amy’s thumbprint guestbook! (Personally, I hate guestbooks that are just a list of names – but I LOVE a good, personalized piece of ART for a guestbook & that’s what Emma created for the shower!)
Big thanks to my sister Ellen for putting together & delivering the perfect “speech” – the perfect “charge” to Amy as she becomes a Mom. It was the perfect blend of humor & emotion and it brought tears to almost everyone’s eyes.
And last but definitely not least, I wanted to give a BIG shout-out to my sister, Ruby, for being my right-hand-woman in planning this shower! She went shopping with me (multiple times), helped me design & cut out all of the game booklets, and was in charge of the incredible balloon arch (both blowing up the balloons, assembling it, and hanging it!) I literally could not have planned this shower without her & I appreciate her help SO SO SO much!

And yes, somehow I managed to run the shower, take videos, and photos (am I super-woman or what?)
