In a sea of love stories that begin with “we met online” – Amy & Joe’s engagement story is different. They have more of the love-at-first-sight kind of story. Nothing against the internet – because it definitely played it’s part in Amy & Joe’s relationship! I just find it fascinating that more than half of all my brides & grooms begin their story with “we met online” and so to hear Amy & Joe tell me their story & have it start differently was intriguing.
Joe was playing at an open mic night at the Weigh Station in Towanda, PA. Toward the end of the evening, as he was finishing up, he looked up to see Amy walk through the door. He just knew: he had to meet her. No question about it. He was smitten.
He finished playing and walked over to her table, introduced himself & made some small talk. She was interested but was bummed when he left without leaving his phone number – just the suggestion for her to look him up on Facebook. Amy blew him off as not as interested as he originally seemed and put Joe out of her mind.
A few days later though, while she was cruising her Facebook newsfeed, his name popped back into her mind. She decided it wouldn’t hurt to look him up & sent him a friend request. And well, you could say the rest is history.
She was utterly smitten by Joe’s bigger than life personality, his quirky sense of humor, and his easy friendship. Paired with Amy’s sweet charm, her loving nature, and honest charisma – the two make an absolutely adorable pair! I cannot wait for their wedding this summer!
