A decade is a long time to spend together and I’m sure after 10 years, Aleah & Mike’s friends simply assumed that they were never getting married.
In 2006, Aleah & Mike were working at the same job – a cubical job. Imagine an office floor, full of individual boxes. No one can see over the walls unless they stood up – you were in your own little 6×6 cube of work space. Mike’s cube was conveniently next to the time clock, so when Aleah came in from lunch one day to punch back in, with a large piece of chocolate cake in her hand, he noticed. He popped out of his cubical like a jack-in-a-box on a mission to get some of that cake. And like any sensible woman, she absolutely refused to share with him.
Something stood out to Mike though about this girl (much more than just the chocolate cake) and he made it his mission to get to know her. So, for the next year, he pursued her. They’d chat and he’d make friendly banter. And about a year after the chocolate cake incident, in a shocking turn of events, she asked him out.
They were both working 2nd shift, and as they were punching out for the evening, she asked him if he wanted to walk across the street to get a drink. As this was his final goal all along, he said yes! They sat there and talked, for the first time outside of their cubicles, until the bar closed that night.
Obviously, we can all figure out the rest of the story. 10 years later, Mike finally popped the question & here they are getting married! We celebrated their engagement with photos last fall at Park Station in Erin, NY, and it left me absolutely in love with these two! Mike is hilarious and knows exactly how to make Aleah laugh. Together, they are perfectly adorable and going to make the most beautiful bride & groom this fall!
Good site! I really love how it is simple on my eyes and the data are well written. I’m wondering how I might be notified when a new post has been made. I have suiscrbbed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a great day!
