When I got married, I never realized that I would have to share my husband. Okay, maybe that’s going a little far, let me back-up and rephrase that:
When I got married, I never realized that we would have an adopted teenage “son” that lived with us part-time. Okay, that still may be stretching it a bit, but sometimes that’s what I feel like.
Adam & Derrick are best buddies. BEST buddies, as in if they were girls they would definitely braid each other’s hair, take mirror-photos of each other in public rest-rooms, and go shopping for prom dresses together. But they’re guys, so they do manly things like going fishing, shooting guns, and playing video games.
Adam is actually growing up though. He’s maturing – thinking about his future, what he wants to do after he gets out of school, making plans. In fact, just this week he passed his test and scored his driver’s license. It’s a good thing because for a while, I thought he would be stuck as a crazy 14 year old forever. The only downfall to this process is the fact that he’s now taller than me!
On the same day that I photographed his gorgeous girlfriend, he tagged along and we got some “winter” shots of him as well to add to his “3-seasons” photos. And, I must give credit where credit is due: Derrick tagged along to shoot with me and 3 of these images are his – can you guess which ones? [and he’s solely responsible for getting Adam to laugh in the first image – score for the hubs!]
[…] have taken senior photos of Adam 3 times now – fall photos, winter photos, and even tho’ we kind of missed spring, we’ll call these his spring/summer photos! I […]
