D&K adventures: It’s a new year & that means new years resolutions, right? Well, Derrick & I didn’t really make any formal resolutions [we never have], but we have always talked about and agreed that we want to be healthy. We aren’t the type of people that try fad diets or crazy exercise routines – we simply want to be well. We kind of slacked off thru the holidays but now that it’s the new year [and we’re going on a cruise in 11 weeks! EEEE!] we’re back on the healthy bandwagon. We’ve committed to putting in at least 20 minutes of exercise a day, along with watching what we eat: more fruits & veggies, less sugar & carbs.
Abby’s antics: In light of that – I thought it would be fun to put Abby on the treadmill and take a snapshot of her “exercising” too [even tho’ we’d never put our pup on the treadmill!] She wasn’t too enthusiastic, in fact, after I got this one shot of her – she straight up refused to step one paw back on! Not even being bribed with a treat could get her back on – what a stubborn dog she is!!
Radiating thankfulness: I am so thankful for good books – I have always been an avid reader/book collector but the past few months I’ve been at a loss for what to read. My Mom introduced me to the Baxter Family Series by Karen Kingsbury & wow, I have not been able to put this series down. You have no idea the discipline it takes to put down a book to do laundry or cook dinner or edit photos when you are reading a series of this caliber. These books are definitely the best books I have read in a long long time – they are so real and honest and genuine – utterly amazing.
