- Happy October – my favorite month of the year.
Also – traditionally, my busiest month of the year.
And this year is no different – I’ve got weddings, engagement sessions, family sessions – our own family photos are coming up (and if you’re curious: no, I still have no idea what we’re wearing yet – yay) – oh and it’s my birthday month! YAY!
It’s tough, because part of me dreads the end of summer. I truly looove summer & all the fun it brings (umm, roller coasters – holla) but secretly, shhhhhh, I love fall too. I probably love fall because my favorite month (October) is nestled right in the middle of the season. I love all the “atmosphere” – the crisp air, the pumpkins, the changing leaves, the spaghetti squash, the apple cider, the flannels – I love it all.
And it just feels magical to finally be in October. - Other than that – it’s been a boring week.
Did you read last week’s Abby’s Saturday post? In a nutshell – I was sick all week last week with what I was assuming to be COVID.
Well – I finally got the official results back from my test last Sunday (just a few hours shy of a full 7 days after my test – that I was supposed to receive the results 2-5 days after taking).
Surprise, surprise – it was positive! (That’s sarcasm by the way, I’m not surprised at all).
So, it’s just been another week of resting & recovering for me this week. By this past Monday (ie. Day #9), I was feeling pretty much 100% back to normal. And that’s been the case all week – aside from just being a little more tired than usual, I’ve felt completely back to normal all week long.
The only lingering side-effect I’m still dealing with is loss of smell – I still can’t smell anything (and that’s weird). I know that regaining my smell can take a little while – but dang, it’s fall, and I want to small all the fall things!! So, hopefully it comes back sooner rather than later. - Thankfully, Derrick & the kids have remained 100% healthy this entire time – words cannot describe how thankful I am for that. And also – how thankful I am to have gotten the dreaded COVID, gotten over it, and to now have some delightful natural immunity – YAY! Bring on all the weddings & photoshoots this month!
