- It’s Spring! No! It’s Winter! No! It’s Spring! No! It’s Winter again.
Thanks for the whiplash, Pennsylvania.
Seriously though, we’ve lived through just about every season this week: the spring rain & mud, summer (lite) temperatures, fall wind, and winter snow – we’ve had it all. And my poor kids just don’t know what to do with themselves. Do they wear spring clothes? Snowsuits? Can they go outside? Will they be blown away? What a week. - This seemed the perfect time to take our annual swingset photo though (which, I always seem to take in January – go figure – why not in the summer? I have no idea). So, if you’d like to go back & see past versions of this same photo, you can do that here: #336, #281.
- This week, I OFFICIALLY launched my brand new business!! It’s been an exciting week (mostly centered over on my Instagram account). I gave away a free family film, I put out a TON of content – it was a lot, but a lot of fun.
And the fun does not stop with the end of this week: I have SO many more ideas! I have blog post ideas, videos I want to create, I want to share ALL the tips & tricks & advice that I’ve gathered over the last few years of being more INTENTIONAL in my home movies.
So, I invite you to come follow along! The fun is just getting started. - Most likely thanks to the crazy weather we’ve been experiencing, but I came down with a stupid cold this week. It’s weird, because usually I can trace sickness back to a specific source, but I have absolutely zero idea where I got this from. (And when that happens, I always blame the grocery store.) So far (knock on wood) no one else has gotten it either! Just weird.
- Braelynn went to the Wednesday night kids program at our church (which just re-started for the “semester”) this week & LOVED it. She came home with so many things to say, so much excitement, and asking if she can go back every single week. Win.
- Besides the big push to officially launch my new business this week, I’ve been working on our family yearbook from 2021! If you aren’t sure what I’m talking about, I create big, fat, family yearbooks from our photos over the entire year & have it printed every February/March. (I wrote two blog posts about it: here & here.)
It’s a monumental task, but one that I know is 100% worth the work.
I’ve already combed thru all of my files (literally millions – okay, no, probably more like hundreds of thousands, of images) & pulled all of the best photos that I want to include in our book. (That is the hardest & most time consuming part).
And now I’m to the point where I’m designing the spreads (this is the fun part). It’s time consuming, but I really enjoy the process of setting up the layouts of the pages & making the images tell the story of our year.
I made it through the end of September last night, so only 3 months to go! My goal is to be done by next week so I can proof everything, get all of the files processed, and get it ordered by the end of February! - Since this week was “love week” (I actually kind of forgot that Monday was Valentine’s Day since we celebrated all weekend long – oops!) it was the perfect time to publish my favorite engagement photos & my favorite wedding photos from the 2021 season!
Stay tuned! I have ONE more “favorites” post dropping on Tuesday – don’t miss it! - T-minus 7 days until something EXTRAORDINARY happens! Stay tuned!
