Highlight of the Week
Derrick & I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary this week! 8 whole long years married & doing life together (next month we’ll celebrate 10 years since we met!) It’s absolutely insane to me that it’s been 8 years since we got married – how is that even possible? I mean, I’m only like 24 years old, so that means we got married when I was 16? Okay, I’m not 24 years old & we didn’t get married when I was 16, but that’s what it feels like! 8 wonderful years – wow. We’ve definitely had our good times & bad times, sickness & health times, rich & poor times, and I know there are so many more adventures to come. I’m excited to see what the next 8 years bring!
Yes, This Happened
- Of course, we’re going to see the new Avengers movie this weekend – who isn’t? Abby wanted to know if she could sneak into the movie theater with us – hence this week’s Abby’s Saturday photo.
- I took our car in to the dealer due to a recall this week & we had them inspect it at the same time. Car stuff always makes me so nervous (probably because I know little-to-nothing about cars). Thankfully, it passed without too much hassle – whew!
- We’re getting so close to Abby’s Saturday #200! Wow, that’s a little bit crazy.
- More and more, Braelynn just looks like a big girl to me. I dressed her in some new size 4T clothes this morning & she just looks so grown up! Why is this happening?!
Feeling Blessed
It’s been a busy/slow week (I know, that doesn’t make any sense). But, coming off of a week away, multiple shoots & a big wedding weekend, I have never been so thankful for a week with very little on my calendar. My family has been amazing in helping with Braelynn – either Ruby coming over here to babysit, my sister Amy taking her out to lunch & to play at the park, or my Mom taking her shopping – I have gotten way more work done than I ever imagined I would this week! In fact, I’m a little bit shocked at how “caught up” I am (don’t tell anyone). I’m not done (I never will be), but I’m way further along than I ever dreamed & for that, I am so thankful to my wonderful family.
