Braelynn came up with this photo all on her own. She propped Abby’s head up on the pillow, brought her over the blanket, and then laid down to snuggle her – asking if I’d take their picture. Of course, I obliged.
Highlight of the Week
For the most part, it’s been a beautiful week & we have spent almost every single day outside for hours. Eating lunch outside, drawing all over the sidewalk with chalk, we even got out the water table & filled it up several days because it was so warm! It’s been so relaxing to just sit outside & chill with my little girl.
Yes, This Happened
- Braelynn is quite the backseat driver. She is constantly telling us when the light is green, what direction to turn, and when to go after stopping at stop signs. It’s quite hilarious to hear a little 3-year-old in the back shouting out driving instructions! Anyways, this week, we were out & about running errands & it started to lightly rain. Braelynn yelled out from the back, “Mom! Push the button!” I asked what button she was talking about and she responded, “Push the button to turn on the swishers!” (cue me dying of laughter) Then, a few minutes later, it began to rain harder, and she yelled at the top of her lungs, “Make the swishers go faster!” It was hilarious.
- My parents are off on a 10-day cruise! I’m so jealous.
- Tuesday was my favorite day of the month: Tuesdays Together! This month was a morning meeting & we talked about pricing our services. What a hefty topic! We got into some awesome discussion though (as always) & it just left me super excited for next month when we all get to hang out again!
- I finished the 3rd Harry Potter book this week (checking off #4 of my Spring Bucket List!) and started into the 4th. Normally, big books don’t scare me. I’ve read some gigantic books in the past, but for some reason, the jump from the 3rd book to the 4th is a little unnerving! The page count of the 4th is nearly double what was in the 3rd – wow.
- I’ve been pretty silent on social media this week (meaning Instagram). I was on a roll posting almost every single day, but after my double-header wedding weekend last weekend, I’ve just been tired. My days have been full: playing outside with Braelynn all day and working hard to keep up with editing every night. Posting on Instagram has just been something I’ve decided to let go. I promise, I’ll get back into posting regular pretty pictures – eventually.
Feeling Blessed
We’re off to visit Derrick’s parents this weekend & celebrating Mother’s Day up in NEPA! But, let’s be honest, mostly we’ll be spending all of our time this weekend meeting our new little niece!! She’s already 10 days old & we cannot wait to snuggle her!
