Highlight of the Week
Wait, it’s Saturday already?
This week has been such a whirlwind! Bridal showers, engagement sessions, meetings, Tuesdays Together, a day at Kennywood, hotel stays, a day at King’s Island, my brother’s birthday – WHEW! So much! Welcome to summer!
Yes, This Happened
- Braelynn & I took a spur-of-the-moment trip to Kennywood on Wednesday with my Mom & Ruby! They had gotten tickets, hoping that others would join them, and when they realized it would just be the two of them at the park, Ruby called & begged us to come along! Thankfully, we were able to find discounted tickets & we had a blast at the park! (even though Braelynn is still too short to ride half of the rides in Kiddieland – how is that possible?!)
- Derrick, Braelynn, I, and my brother Steve took a (not-so-spur-of-the-moment) trip to King’s Island yesterday! My husband is obsessed with roller coasters (if you didn’t know) so King’s Island has been on his wish list for a long time. He was like a little kid in a candy shop to add 14 new roller coasters to his coaster count (which is getting dangerously close to 190!)
- Yesterday was also Steve’s 15th birthday – what better way to spend your birthday than with us at an amusement park?
- Tuesday was my favorite day of the month: Tuesday’s Together! This month was an evening wine & cheese meeting and we had so much fun! My friend Tiffany always hosts such a wonderful meeting of creative entrepreneurs & this week was no exception! It’s so wonderful to gather with like-minded adults & hang out for a bit – encouraging one another & getting away from our computers!
Feeling Blessed
As much of a whirlwind as the last week has been – this coming week (and the next several weeks following) look just as crazy on the calendar! I’m so thankful for a fabulous support system who helps keep an eye on Braelynn when I need to hustle & get work done, who can watch the dog for a few days while we are away, and for a wonderful relaxing place in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland where we can get away from it all & just relax! After this weekend, we won’t be doing too much relaxing as next week ushers in a streak of 5 weddings in 4 weeks – but I’m just feeling so blessed to be able to do what I love to do, while still squeezing in a lot of fun this summer!
