Highlight of the Week
This week was the annual Norwin Community Picnic at Idlewild Park & Soak Zone! It was the perfect day & we had a BLAST (highlights of our day coming to the blog on Monday!) The highest of highlights though was getting to ride Daniel Tiger’s Trolly ride and then watching a 30 minute Daniel Tiger show, followed by meeting the life-size Daniel Tiger!! OH EM GEE. Braelynn might not have had too much expression on her face, but I was sure bursting at the seams for her! A small plush Daniel Tiger made his way home with us & she has not put him down since.
Yes, This Happened
- At said Idlewild day – they have a huge prize drawing every year with 75+ prizes that have been donated by local businesses, everything from 48″ tvs to iPod shuffles to Pirate tickets. Well, I won something this year! Before I get you too excited though: I won a Steeler’s picnic tent. Not sure what I’m going to do with it – but I now have a tent that’s perfect for tailgating! Any ideas what I can use it for?
- Instagram rolled out it’s new “stories” and I think I’m abandoning ship on Snapchat. I’ve loved usuing Snapchat, but I feel like my reach is so much broader with Instagram’s stories! Not to mention, everything in one place? I don’t know – it sounds pretty fabulous to me! What are your thoughts? (follow me on Instagram!)
Feeling Blessed
In a rare turn of events: we are home this weekend! Thru the summer months, weekends at home are super rare – it seems like we’re always traveling out of town for a wedding, spending time at the lake, or shooting a wedding here locally (and thus gone all day long). We had plans to be out of town, but last minute, everything got switched around and here we are! It’s so relaxing to have a day to ourselves, wake up in our bed, eat cinnamon rolls for breakfast, do whatever we want during the day, and just relax. Of course, the temptation to get a little work in is steep, but I’m really trying to take the day off. I have so much to do, I’m afraid I’m going to end up burnt out, so a day off is much needed & so appreciated!
