It’s officially family photography season!! I love the change of pace as wedding season winds down & family photos pick up! It’s so much fun to reconnect with so many families that have faithfully come back to me year after year after year – I’m so blessed to have such incredible clients & friends.
And in this case: family! If you’ve been around my blog for any length of time, you’ll probably recognize these cuties! My nephew PJ & niece Cameron are my little photo rock stars (I know their Mom & Dad may disagree, but they’re always good for me!!) I’ve photographed both of them since the day they were born! If you know a little bit of Derrick & I’s story, you’ll recognize that it was at Paul & Naomi’s wedding that Derrick and I met, coming up on 8 years ago! So, this family is so special to us in so many ways – not even including the fact that Paul is Derrick’s brother!
And let’s just talk about their adorable outfits for a moment, shall we? People are always asking me what they should wear for sessions & I feel like I should just let Naomi loose on their closets- she always picks the perfect combinations of colors and clothes that are matching-but-not-matchy-matchy, looking like she peeled them right off a Pinterest board. Some people have all the skill, ya know?
We had so much fun exploring around the Spalding Memorial Library – it’s such a hidden gem! PJ left with his pockets full of acorns & Cameron left with a Daddy-Long-Leg and everything was good. And you’ll never believe this, but this first image? My new ultimate favorite sibling photo? Was completely un-posed – they just walked over & did the side-hug 100% naturally!! See? My little photo rock stars!
