Walt Disney World is the PINNACLE of theme parks. It seriously does not get better than a day at Magic Kingdom – period.
I never take our days on Disney property for granted. And because they are expensive and rare, we squeeze every last drop out of our time there – which means we spent a 16-hour day in Magic Kingdom in 2024.
Let’s be honest though: all the credit for our day goes to Tron Lightcycle / Run, because without it, we wouldn’t have returned to Magic Kingdom so soon (we were there in 2022). Derrick is LOVES Tron (the movie, the soundtrack, the coaster at Shanghai Disneyland), so when Magic Kingdom opened their version of the coaster, it immediately flew to the top of his USA bucket list.
Spoiler alert: it was AMAZING and truly blew our socks off – we LOVED it!
Outside of riding SO many rides, we also made reservations to have a late breakfast (early lunch) at The Crystal Palace. We got to meet Winnie The Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger (talk about MASSIVE fun!) and we literally ate our weight in Mickey Churro Waffles. WOW – the food there was the best we’ve ever eaten and I think reservations at The Crystal Palace are now a MUST for the next time we visit Magic Kingdom (which likely won’t be until they add another new coaster).
As a Walt Disney World College Program grad – having worked in Magic Kingdom – this park holds a very very special place in my heart. I absolutely love it there and treasure the memories we made on this very special day.
