Our kids have been SUPER into Legos recently (in fact: they’re currently sitting and building Legos as I write this!) So, during our most recent visit to Phoenix, Arizona (where Derrick’s parents live), we decided to spend a day at the Legoland Discovery Center in Tempa, AZ (just outside of Phoneix).
Sea Life is an aquarium that sits directly across from the Legoland Discovery Center and when you go online, they offer you a combo ticket to visit BOTH for just $4 more. This seemed like a no-brainer, so that’s what we did!
The Legoland Discovery Center is not a theme park (even though they do have two small rides and a 4-D theater) but our kids didn’t care. They LOVED the different zones provided to build Legos (themed to some of their favorite Lego IP, specifically: the Lego Friends and Ninjago) and the playground. They easily could have stayed all.day.long.
The Sea Life Aquarium is small, but really nice! A great $4 add-on that we loved walking through!
And because – what’s a blog post without photos? Here are just a few (all iPhone snaps – I didn’t bring my big camera with me this day!)
