This is an overview of our full, fun day at Busch Gardens Williamsburg as a family of 4 in the spring of 2025.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg was the final stop of our “big spring vacation” – and we almost chopped it from the line-up of parks we visited! We were coming home from Florida over Memorial Day weekend, so we knew the park would be absolutely SLAMMED, but we REALLY wanted to ride the brand new Big Bad Wolf: Wolf’s Revenge roller coaster that just opened. So, knowing full-well that the park would be busy, we decided to visit anyway and I’m so glad we did!
We were able to get in, go straight to Big Bad Wolf and get our rides in before the line got too long (even though the ride did go down for a short period of technical difficulties). I LOVED how the new ride calls back to the original Big Bad Wolf – it was smooth and fun (even though our daughter found it “boring”. I guess that’s what happens after you ride BIG roller coasters like Fury 325 and Steel Vengeance – these little family coasters just aren’t the same.) But I appreciate it for what it is and I think it’s a fabulous addition to Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
As the day stretched on, the park just got busier and busier and so we ended up pulling the plug on our day a bit early and sneaking out to get dinner at one of our favorite seafood restaurants in Virginia: Captain George’s (all you can eat crab legs – yes please!)
And because – what’s a blog post without photos – here are just a few (these are a mix of iPhone snaps & photos taken with my “big” camera).
