This photoshoot has been in the works for a long time – in fact, it was on my calendar longer than some weddings are! For over a year, “Tyler’s Senior Photos” sat on my calendar, waiting for the big day when we would get together and celebrate Tyler’s senior year! When the big day finally arrived, it was a little less than perfect – cold & rainy – but we made the best of it and since we were planning on shooting inside most of the time anyway, it all worked out!
We decided for Tyler’s senior photos to really let his hobbies & his passions shine. Tyler is an awesome kid – super mature and with a good head on his shoulders. He’s known his direction in life for a long time and he’s never wavered from his dreams, which is super rare to see in a young person! Tyler’s two main passions are theater and his church. He absolutely loves performing. He has held numerous roles in plays and shows, including a part in a monthly show his church does. Speaking of his church: he aspires to be a pastor and to go on to Bible College! Amazing things are in store for this dude, I promise you that!
We went to Tyler’s two favorite places for his senior photos. Since he works at the Sayre Theater, we were able to get in early in the morning, before anyone else would be there, to take some pictures up on stage and in front of the red curtain! How amazing is that?!
And then it was down the block to CrossRoads Family Ministries – which yes, doesn’t really have the look of a traditional church! Which is kind of what they’re all about, being non-traditional. He has school and working at the theater, but the rest of Tyler’s free time is spent here – so it felt fitting to take some photos here as well!
We hi-jacked the Pastor’s office – good thing he & Tyler are besties!
And then, the icing on the cake was heading over to the Waverly Glen for some photos outside for Mom. It was freezing and drizzling but we pulled it off!
