THE RAIN COULD NOT KEEP US AWAY!
Last week, Kennywood Park invited us out to get a sneak peek of all the updates and improvements they’ve been making on the park over the off-season! And, even though it poured down rain pretty much the entire morning (of course it did: this is Pittsburgh, PA after all!) – we still LOVED being back on Kennywood property! We have missed it so much!!
The park looks amazing – we loved seeing all the TLC and diligence park management continues to put toward the property, from restoring classic rides down to the smallest of details within the park (like the new signage and updated trash/recycling bins!) Kennywood continues to make improvements and bring new life into the park – 2024 is going to be an incredible season and we cannot wait for it to get started!
Is it April 20th yet?
ANNOUNCEMENTS OF NOTE:

(2:00) Upgrades to the Lost Kennywood gift shop
(2:22) Turtle – featuring a completely updated center console and freshly re-created cars

Since it was down-pouring so heavily for most of the time we were in the park, I didn’t take a single photo with my “big” camera – it just wasn’t worth pulling it out. Instead, I focused primarily on vlogging (and I took a few photos with my phone).
ALSO – if you watch the vlog and think: “Hmm, Kara and Derrick don’t sound like they’re quite at their very best,” you would be correct. Derrick was about half-way through a monster sinus infection that took his voice for the week and I was just starting to get it. We made it through the tour and that’s all that matters!
Kennywood Park opens for the 2024 season in just FOUR days – we cannot wait! (Fingers crossed for better weather than we had for the tour!)
